Cross

Tried out a 50mm lens on the Pentax Q today and it sure is hard to use.  The manual focus aids on the camera is just not in the same league as the NEX or M4/3 cameras.  For one thing, the LCD screen is not of the high resolution one, making it harder still to get critical focus.  The focus peeking is also sub par on the Q. Didn't get too many keepers from around 75 shots.  Can't image how much harder it's to use for longer lenses.

  1. I've had a strange fascination for the Pentax Q for a while, even though I am totally aware of its (small sensor) shortcomings. How weird.

Probably what attracted you to buy it in the first place.

    1. Tried the Q a few times and it just isn't very user friendly with manual focus lenses, but works pretty well with the AF lens. There is just very few lenses that can provide wide angle coverage on this size of the sensor. In any case, I have already sold it, before the price of it plummets to the ground.

  2. I can't imagine using that camera with an MF lens, much less something longer than a 50. I like the cross shot. Reminds me of something shot in old Europe. Nice.

    1. Yup. Not easy. With a 50mm lens, you are basically shooting a 275mm telephoto lens. Imagine that!

  3. Composition is brilliant. Reminds on a scissor cut work.
