Electronic Level on the NEX-6

I failed to mention one of the neat new features on the NEX-5R/NEX-6 is the electronic level.  This should be an invaluable tool for those of us who are alignment challenged.  On my NEX-5N, I have the grid lines turned on to aid me line things up when taking pictures, but the electronic level is much better idea and much more accurate.  Basically, the level is a horizontal bar with green arrows on both ends.  When the camera is level, both arrows will turn green.  Very neat!

  1. That's actually yet another feature from the NEX-7, and a very useful one at that, I use it all the time.

  2. I did not realize it already exist in the NEX-7. I guess I was never that interested in the NEX-7 :)

  3. Admitedly I wasn't interested in the NEX-7 either until I'd handled it, it was pretty much love at first grip for me. Wonderful handling camera.

I also expected to be disappointed in the sensor as I was coming from the NEX-5N, but I found I actually preferred the 7's sensor.
