The later version for Instamatic I think can close focus down to a couple of feet. I use this MFD 14 version for scenics and landscape. A bit too slow without enough seperation for me as a portrait lens. There is a macro extension tuve for this lens (Kodak made) that can sometimes be found for sale, but I haven't used it.
